Conversation with Jerry Torre: Author of The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens

Join us at Jackson Heights Library for a special conversation with Jerry Torre. In 2018, Torre published his memoir The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens, co-written with Tony Maietta. The book was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award and became a top-selling title in gay-themed literature during its first weeks on Amazon, with appearances and events held across the country. The event will also include a screening of the documentary Grey Gardens, directed by Albert and David Maysles. Jerry Torre is a Queens-based artist and author known for his connection to the iconic Grey Gardens estate, where he worked as a teenager in the early 1970s. His experiences there placed him at the center of one of the most memorable stories in American cultural history — later chronicled in the 1975 documentary Grey Gardens.
