About Eddy Marcano:

Born in Venezuela, Eddy Marcano is a distinguished violinist, conductor, and educator whose career spans orchestral performance, chamber music, and artistic leadership across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. A longtime member of the renowned Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra — where he served as First Violin from 1988 to 2016 — his artistry was shaped by Venezuela’s El Sistema movement and its commitment to musical excellence. He has conducted the Orquesta Simón Díaz and the Orquesta Juan José Landaeta, and performs in the United States with the Houston Latin American Philharmonic, ECHO Orchestra, and the Brazos Valley Orchestra. A dedicated educator, he has mentored generations of young musicians through his violin studio and masterclasses. His playing is defined by elegance, warmth, and a profound connection to the musical traditions of Latin America.

About Eddy Marcano Cuarteto Acústico:

An internationally acclaimed ensemble dedicated to the celebration and diffusion of Latin American music, the Eddy Marcano Cuarteto Acústico brings together four outstanding musicians whose artistry has enriched audiences across the world. Led by Eddy Marcano on violin, the quartet is formed by maestro Baden Goyo on piano and musical direction, Yilmer Vivas on percussion and Venezuelan cuatro, and José Layo Puentes on double bass. Their sound moves between the essence of Venezuelan and Latin American traditions, the harmonic richness of jazz, and the elegance of the Onda Nueva movement. At the center of their distinctive identity is the creative work of pianist and composer Baden Goyo, whose arrangements and compositions shape an extraordinary dialogue between classical refinement, jazz improvisation, and the rhythmic soul of Latin America. The quartet has performed at Carnegie Hall and at festivals across Germany, Spain, Japan, Venezuela, and throughout the Americas. Their appearance at Terraza 7 promises an unforgettable celebration of the richness, passion, and universal spirit of Latin American music.
