Muppets Tonight: A 30th Anniversary Panel and Tribute to Arthur Novell

Location: Redstone Theater
Part of Jim Henson’s World
Featuring Dave Goelz, Bill Barretta, and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, in person, moderated by Craig Shemin, President of the Jim Henson Legacy, plus additional special guests
As we celebrate 50 years of The Muppet Show, we also mark the 30th anniversary of the 1996 premiere of Muppets Tonight, the show that brought the Muppets back to TV for a whole new audience, with a new group of guest stars. Sandra Bullock, Martin Short, Michelle Pfeiffer, Billy Crystal, Garth Brooks, Don Rickles, John Goodman, Prince, and a host of show business legends joined the old Muppet gang, along with some new characters—including the debuts of Pepe the King Prawn, Johnny Fiama, Sal Manella, and many more. Muppet performers Dave Goelz, Bill Barretta, and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph will join us to talk about the program and to celebrate Arthur Novell, the show’s talent executive, longtime Henson publicist, and former Jim Henson Legacy Executive Director, who passed away earlier this year. Please join us for a special Monday holiday event to celebrate Muppets Tonight and Arthur Novell.
