DESCRIPTION:Join us for our outreach efforts to build community and share KYR resources with local businesses and employees. \nNote: If you are not already involved with Jackson Heights Indivisible\, we will ask you to join us at one of our biweekly meetings so we can get to know each other a bit before joining us on an outreach shift. We begin with a 30-minute training session for volunteers who have not done this work before. \nThis action is rooted in principles of cooperation\, empathy\, and collective action. Effective community care involves building networks of mutual support and empowering ourselves (community members!!) to meet our collective needs.
