Commercial Waste Zones: What You Need to Know

By February 28, 2026, any business in the Queens Northeast Commercial Waste Zone (east of Flushing Meadows Corona Park and north of Hillside Avenue) that has their waste collected by a private carter must enter into a new agreement with a New York City-approved carter; anybody that does not enter into a new agreement will be assigned a carter by the NYC Department of Sanitation. Join us on Wednesday, February 4 at 9 AM at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center (enter shopping center through Bell Blvd entrance, event is at the former Gamestop location, next to Cohen’s Optical) to learn about how to comply with these new regulations and ask questions.
