Earth Day Jackson Heights Street Tree Planting and Street Tree Care

Help plant a street tree and care for additional street trees in Jackson Heights this Earth Day! Volunteers will be trained in proper planting techniques and learn how to aerate, cultivate, mulch, and identify street trees, while also learning about the vital role street trees play in enhancing New York City’s urban ecosystem. Come dressed in clothing that can get dirty and closed toe shoes. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
