Hey neighbor, Lately it feels like the neighborhood is leaning a little more social. More tables outside, more people lingering, more “just one drink” turning into a full evening. Spring will do that. If you want an easy way into that, our Dinner Club is back on Tuesday April 28. We match you with a small group at a local restaurant, then everyone meets up after. No awkward intros, just good conversation and good food. You can grab a spot at dinnerclub.jacksonheightsinsider.com.
Elsewhere in the neighborhood, a bit of Thai restaurant news. Kitchen 79 has reopened, which is great to see. At the same time, Buddha Asian, is currently up for sale, though still open if you want to dine there while things are in transition. Also worth noting, this week is doing a bit of a triple theme. It’s National Volunteer Week, so you’ll see chances to give back. It’s National Library Week, which is a good excuse to rediscover your local branch. And it’s Earth Week, so there are events focused on parks, cleanup, and sustainability. Plenty going on, whether you want to help out, learn something, or just get outside. Let’s get into it 👇 This Week in Jackson HeightsApril 21–27 Featured Event🍲 Monthly Potluck Dinner | Saturday, April 25 | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM | 34th Ave & 93rd St Bring a dish, bring a friend, and settle in for a relaxed afternoon of food, music, and community vibes.
